The lever or knob selection is indicated with a four-digit FSB Design number.
If you are specifying a lock type or function which does not require a lever handle, begin your specification code with the trim set designation.
Trim Set
RA
We have simplified specifying locksets by utilizing a code for the eleven most common trim sets.
Please note that use of Trim Set RA, RB, RC and RD with Series NM is restricted by backset and stop width.

Backset
2 3⁄4″
FSB offers ten different backsets for mortise locks and two for tubular latches.
Handing
RHR
Doors are either right hand (RH) or left hand (LH) inswinging or right hand reverse (RHR) or left hand reverse (LHR) outswing ing, relative to which way they open.
The hand of a door is always determined from the outside (locked side) of a door.
Door Thickness
1 3⁄4″
Standard doors almost invariably feature standardized door thicknesses.
FSB spindles are available from stock for door thicknesses 1 3⁄8″ to 2 1⁄4″ . FSB can supply spindles for doors up to 3 1⁄2″ thick on special order.
The thickness of doors should be checked and any discrepancy pointed out when ordering.
