Designed by Markus Michalski and Michael Schmidt, FSB 1289 features soft, organic lines that break intentionally from classic right angles. No hard edges, no rigid contours – just subtle, sculpted curves that create a natural tension. The result is a handle that integrates effortlessly into any environment: visually understated, haptically precise, and perfectly ergonomic. Its quality becomes tangible with every use.

FSB 1289 isn’t just a handle – it’s a full product family that spans multiple applications. Its consistent design language runs through door handles, window levers, glass-door fittings, lift-slide handles, and narrow-stile levers. It harmonizes beautifully with FSB’s sliding door pulls (FSB 42 4260–42 4265) and bar handles (FSB 66 6550–66 6552), reflecting their geometry with a flat front and gently contoured grip.

Crafted from durable aluminum or stainless steel, the FSB 1289 product family unites premium materials and precision craftsmanship with a strong sense of sustainable responsibility. Each finish is carefully calibrated to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of interiors: the polished, natural anodized aluminum variant (0105) lends an air of refined understatement, while the bead-blasted, black anodized version (0810) makes a bold architectural statement. The aluminum offering is complemented by two stainless steel finishes – brushed satin and high-gloss polished – ideal for projects demanding elevated durability and material aesthetics.

FSB 1289 has received prestigious international design awards in recognition of its successful fusion of aesthetics, functionality, and ergonomics. The jury of the "ICONIC AWARDS 2022: Innovative Architecture" explained its decision as follows: “FSB 1289 impresses with a wonderfully clear design reduced to the essentials, combining perfectly proportioned aesthetics, ergonomics, and thoughtfully engineered functionality with exceptional design and craftsmanship.”

FSB 1289 pairs especially well with the new sliding door hardware (FSB 42 4260–42 4265) and bar handles (FSB 66 6550–66 6552). The flat front of the grip, combined with generous volume on the reverse side, thoughtfully echoes their design language.
